materazzi and zidane were just talking and apparently materazzi said something offensive to zidane and zidane turned around and headbutted materazzi hard in the chest. the main ref never saw it but the sideline ref did. the sideling ref notified the main ref of it and then zidane was red carded.

During the game yesterday, Materazzi and Zizou exchanged some words. Apparently Materazzi said something that instigated Zidane to head-butt Materazzi in the chest. Zidane got a red card and left the field.
The facts of the verbal exchange is not clear but there are reports of people who heard the exchange. Apparently Materazzi made a racial slur that set zidane off.
I saw it on the television, so we only saw the replay of the exchange to the headbutt. We did not hear the words.

OK... so i recorded the final game and i have replayed that one part like a million times trying to see what happened. The only thing i saw was Materazzi grab zz's chest (a somewhat normal soccer action) and then they were talking, they looked like they were fine and Zidane ran ahead, but as he was running i noticed Materazzi's lips move, he said something and then the rest is history......
hope that helped a little

The truth is, we will never know the truth. All I heard is a bunch of accusations and insults. Both team played well, but unfortunately there could be only 1 winner, they knew that on the field so maybe the pressure was too intense, and it exploded into a head butt. Unfortunately some people think that, that action was justified, unpleasant words are always being said on the field. So does that mean that everyone on the field should get head butted, I don't think so.

It's not a joke, this is the truth.
Because of zidane background 9he was born in France and son of Algerian emigrant couple, he called him " you son of a muslim bich, you all are terrorists"
There are two big insults in the medeterranean area, wether in southern france, italy, Greece, Tunisia.... is when you tell someone your sister is a whore or son of a bich, not any bich but muslim terrorist bich. That's wrong! But Zidane grew up in the streets of Marseille, he knew exactly how to take care of a cheap italian.
