1 time I walked in and they were having a conversation and all of a sudden she backed away and went upstairs they were very close.
I have seen a couple of calls on his phone bill to and from her.
He has never mentioned to me any conversation.

Innocent people have no reason to drop a conversation when the wife walks in. The fact that it was the girl who walked away (i.e., she felt guilt and embarrassment over your arrival) shows that your husband is probably the one pushing the matter with her.

Perhaps nothing has happened yet. Perhaps something has. It's hard to tell. Do you know how long the phone calls were that were on the bill, and can you tell the location?

You could test him by asking if she called at those times (find a good excuse to ask, in a general sense), and seeing what he says. If he has an immediate story that explains the calls, then maybe they were innocent, maybe not. If he completely covers it up, you're in trouble. Anytime someone covers up an interaction, they are feeling guilt over what they've done... or are trying not to get caught.

You could also suggest letting her go and finding a new girl, and seeing what he says. How attached to her is he? What will he say/do to keep her employed by you? It would be revealing.

You could also ask that she calls you to handle business, rather than him.

In any case, you need to keep an eye on them. You could ask him now about her; but if you force the issue without proof, things could go either way.

What is a nana? Anyway it sounds as if they are having an affair. Hire a PI to find out for sure.

Seems like there is something going on there. Check it out. Talk to your man. Honesty is everything in a relationship, or else it is about to be broken. Good luck, and have a nice day..

huh? if you are really asking this ....seriously..... here...you already know the answer! If this is an *innocent* relationship...why is he being so sneaky and quiet about it? hmmmm- it's just a hunch, but I'll bet he's hiding more than just a few phone conversations from you.... confront him now and settle your doubting mind.

That's something you need to question b/c if he's sneaking with the conversation who knows what else they are sneaking nd doing so watch yourself ok!

I would ask him about it, or call her, and find out what's going on. If they are talking, they should have told you about it.
