I think that he's an awesome player that doesn't deserve to be criticized. 99% of the people that don't like him or that think he dives too much are English fans or don't like Portugal for some reason. He has much talent and by the next WC he will be the biggest star.

He is a great young talent, but I think people hate him because he dives and has a pretty boy image. So people hate him for diving at times (just like a lot of other players) but then they also dislike him for a pretty boy image. Its similar to why people hate JJ Reddick in college basketball. He is a really good talent, but he just looks like a pretty boy clean cut chump.

I do think Christiano needs to leave England. England loves their soccer, and truth to it or not, he will never be accepted after what happened, even if he didnt do anything, the fans over there have already made up their mind.

The only way he could be accepted is if he and Wayne Rooney and the rest of the English players publicly made up and were all cool... I think its in Man-U and Rooneys hands for the fate of Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a great talent on his way to become one of the best in the World. He is also a 21 year old kid and I wish people would stop putting pressure on him.
I don't understand all this criticism by England fans: the only thing he did against your team was ask the ref. for a justified expulsion of Wayne Rooney. On other games, he fell a few times, just like many other players. He was also fouled by a French defender in the box (he grabbed his shoulder preventing him from reaching the ball) and the ref. waved play on...
If this is worth all that criticism I can only imagine what the British think about Maradona and his "Mano de Dios"...Was he a bad player too?

Could be a great if he tempers his cheating ways - the Rooney incident aside Portuguese fans seem to think that he does not dive - I think it is plain for all to see that he does, but if the Portuguese fans wish to condone such actions then so be it - they are quick to react when they think their team have been cheated against, so double standards really. As for Ronaldo, he will leave England, as he has no choice really, and hopefully he will learn a valuable lesson about the values of fair play - that way we will see a great player in the 2010 competition.

He was a good guy. Under Sir Alex Fergusson (Manager of ManU) he played real good n clean! He wouldn't fall on tackle's unless he lost his balance or was really hurt. He was a good friend of Wayne Rooney, too!
But, then came Euro2004. He was under Luis Felipe Scolari and Luis figo (the greaters cheaters of Portugese soccer). He lost a bit of temper and was on the way to be bad. He learned to give bad tackles and fall down on tackles he'd brush off previously. Most of it was due to F*** (I mean Figo). He then went to ManU. Taught Rooney; that had a bad effect on Rooney too, coz he started becoming really good at bad tackles. (He was aggressive before, but Sir Alex F. had managed to get him under control a bit and he was improving. With C. Ronaldo, he became worse from bad and ManU were out of UEFA Champions League in the group (1st) stage itself for the first time in 17 yrs and only second time under the able leadership of Sir Alex Fergusson. The great evil partnership started! Rooney would give bad tackles at others and on tackled Ronaldo would fall easily.
The situation came to a fore in this WC when Rooney was sent off and Ronaldo urged the ref on. That's the peak and it should end, and end it will as C. Ronaldo will go to hell (Real Madrid) where f*** (figo) learned his tricks.
Hope Rooney will improve and be rise to his peak.

In short C. Ronaldo is a ******* *** ***** *** ********* ***. (I myself couldn't figure out what that meant!!)

i think the only reason he's playing is because fergie wanted to completely screw the number 7 in man u!!!
he throws in way too much theatrics, that are of no technical use which makes them basically bogus. ronaldinho from brazil does the same thing with the ball, only he ACTUALLY GETS PAST THE DEFENSE!!! thats the point of technicality not entertainment.

I think he should leave England and never look back, because the bast!ards have already stoned his house and broken windows. Those bullies just don't deserve him. Come home Cristiano, or to Spain or anywhere but Perfid Albion!
