How much money does a movie have to make at the box office to warrant a sequel/sequels?

I would like to see a money amount (if you have one, that is) preferrably.

they should probably at least try to break even on the cost of the film, but sometimes it depends on what the studio wants. they get to choose if they want to have another movie or not.

Sometimes it just depends on how much the studio wants to see another one.

probably AT LEAST as much as they spent making it.
