A new series of YA books is just getting started. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer was released last year, and the second book will be released in a month or two. Twilight follows the adventures of Bella Swan, a clumsy but lovable girl who falls in love with Edward, a mysterious "boy" with a big secret--he's a vampire!

Another series, a trilogy really, is Uglies, Pretties, and Specials by Scott Westerfeld. The books are set in a futuristic society that may seem perfect (and luxurious!) on the outside, but is keeping some big secrets from the masses. Tally Youngblood and her friends sometimes accidentally and sometimes purposefully lie at the center of unraveling the secrets and restoring order to the world.

Another one of my favorite series is the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison. The first is Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging...there are seven books altogether now...the last being Startled by his Furry Shorts. The books follow the adventures and misadventures of this funny British teen as she experiences many of her "firsts." The books are very funny, but none of the books offer any "real" ending...they almost always hang in a cliff hanger of sorts.

Depends on your interests. When I was a teen (actually around 12) I started reading suspense by Mary Higgins Clark that were not written for teens, but I enjoyed them. So if you're really into reading, you may look in the regular fiction, suspense, etc. sections and find things that interest you. James Patterson has two good suspense series (Alex Cross and Women's Murder Club), and a couple two book sets.

I also read Saddle Club, Babysitters Club, Sierra Jensen, Sweet Valley (there are a few different series), etc. as a teen.

Well there are quite a few things. I should know, I work at a book store. LOL!
My favorites are any series by Tamora Pierce, like Song of the Lioness, The Immortals, Protector of the Small, and Tricksters. She also wrote the Circle of Magic, and The Circle Opens.
Meredith Ann Pierce is good too. She wrote the Firebringer Trilogy
Garth Nix's Sabriel, Lireal, and Abhorsen are beyond awesome.
The Harry Potter series.
Piers Anthony's Blue Adept Trilogy
The Cat Who mysteries by Lillian Jackson Braun
Diadem: Worlds Of Magic by Peel
The Spiderwick series
The Edge Chronicles,
Artemis Fowl, Rowan of Rin,
The Dragons series by Patricia C. Wrede
The Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin
Blue is for Nightmares, White is for Magic, Silver is for Secrest, and Red is for Remembering by Stolarz, The Princess diaries by Meg Cabot, the Phantom Stallion series is great for younger teens, as well as the Thourobred Series by Joanna Campbell. That pretty much sums is up....oh wait, I almost forgot one of my favorites, Into the Land of the Unicorns and Song of the Wanderer by Bruce Coville.

I recommend The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot. They are my favorite. Also, The 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU Series by Meg Cabot. Both series are about teenage girls who have special gifts - one can talk to the dead, the other can find people supernaturally - and they don't necessarily want these gifts. They also have unrequited love issues with very hot guys - at least they are described this way. Anything else by Meg Cabot is also an excellent read because she is hilarious, ridiculous, and fun.

The Sweep series (by Cate Tiernan) is pretty good. You should also check Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan. Not for the faint of heart however...
