I'd like to say Star Wars, but its no longer a trilogy... its a SAGA.
Lord of the Rings was excellent, but a good trilogy needs to have three movies that are even good when they stand alone. LOTR needs to be seen together I think.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say SPIDERMAN.

LORD OF THE RINGS!!! I'm a major LotR fan, and although the're GREAT stuff out there(Pirates of the Caribbean is going to be a great trilogy!) I still love my Lord of the Rings. ^_^

First, it is trilogy....
I'd have to agree though I did like Back to the Future, but also Star Wars, and now Pirates of the Caribbean. =) (the 2nd one is a must see if you haven't seen it!)
