Changing the muffler on your car to a glass packed muffler will not increase your gas mileage. Whatever you do, do not put that silly beer can muffler on the back that ads say will boost the hp by 25. They lie.
There are many companies which make aftermarket exhaust systems for the Honda and they do help with both power and gas mileage. However, you would probably be more cost effective at something like switching to Synthetic oil to reduce friction and buying a low restriction air cleaner element, such as a K&N. A cold air intake would be even better. Those changes are inexpensive relative to the exhaust and would probably net you a 3-8% improvement in gas mileage and power.
A complete new exhaust, even if you can find one for this old a car, would probably not yield that much of an improvement and the cost would be considerably greater.
Just for curiosity's sake I looked around and the best I could do was find a header for a 91 on Ebay. A good exhaust may be hard to find for that year of car.

The longer (BTW, I assume you mean Cherry Bomb mufflers) mufflers are quieter, though not by much. The previous answerer doesn't have a clue....a cherry bomb glasspack is a STRAIGHT THROUGH muffler, It has no baffles, no bends..the exhaust just passes right on through, nothing to restrict the flow. The muffler consists of a perforated straight tube with fiberglass packing around it. So, yeah, it CAN save a little on fuel economy, especially if it's replacing a very restrictive stock muffler.

On a Prelude though....you wouldn't see enough benefit to make it worthwhile. If you want to make your Honda sound like an angry bumble bee, especially when the 'glass packing blows out, a VERY angry bumble bee, go ahead. But the exhaust system in your car just isn't restrictive enough for a straight thrru muffler to really help. One thing you CAN do that will help some is to run either a K&N drop in or open element air filter. Just about any vehicle benefits from those, it'll help throttle response, too.

Glasspacs have nothing to do with saving gas, they just make noise.
