None of the girls in my family ever fart. Not me, my daughter, my grannies, my sister, mom, aunts, girl cousins, neices, etc...But the boys still insist girls fart. Can you please set them staight?

Actually, I know exactly what you're talking about. I have no memory of passing gas before the age of 20 and I never witnessed any of the women in my family doing it either. I was in a military officer's training corps in college and just about everybody in my dorm was a guy. I really thought there was something wrong with men because these guys were letting loose with the loudest and stinkiest stuff imaginable. Unfortunately the stress of military training, school, a very bad diet and too much exercise really messed up my hormones and my general health. This not only negatively affected my periods but also my digestive system and before I graduated, I became as gassy as the guys in my dorm. I think the amount of gas a person passes is decided not only by genetics, but also by diet, digestive health and hormones.
It is possible that the women in your family may have some sort of genetic or hormonal advantage over the men when it comes to passing gas, just make sure you don't ruin it by destroying your health.

rediculous question! deserving of a rediculous answer:
Try eating some chicken broccoli and ziti in a nice alfredo sauce, then maybe a few hardboiled eggs, then tell me you dont fart!
(i think it highly unlikely that you DONT possess the ability to fart, but perhaps you dont have enough of the bacteria (natural flora) in your intenstinal tract that produce the methane byproduct we all love so much... might be a sign or symptom of something... just throwing crohn's disease out there.... tho I dont know about the symptoms

Who says we can't fart??..that is so untrue!!!...everyone including animals fart!!!....it is very common and natural for a human being to fart regardless of sex.....if they don't fart then there is gotta be something wrong with them!!!

there is a girl at work who farts like a...erm...manic farting thing.. you could be talking with her and she will say.."hang on, i`m gonna trump," she will then lift up her leg, scrunch up her face and let out a "breath of fresh air", and then smile proudly at her produce. lol, so yes, girls fart

you do it when you're asleep or when you're pooping. I think whats more amazing is that girls can poop without peeing. Not possible for a man.
