i checked that it was Charles Wreford Brown invented the term "soccer" but anyone here knows why he did that?
i hate it when americans value "american football" more than "association football" and call it "soccer" while other countries call it "football"

It is the abbreviated term for 'asSOCiation football'... he just made it faster to say... funny that the English only say football now.. I prefer Football though.. makes more sense.

I'm in Eastern Europe and here we call whats called Soccer in American, Football and American Football is simply called American Football. As far as I know the whole Europe calls it the same way, and we don't talk about American Football much anyway.

foot kicks ball

plus in spanish, it is called FutBall

I don't know, but in Mexico, they call it Futbol. I was so freakin happy when Italy won yesterday. WHOO!!!!!
