The ps3 will cost $399, althought it costs Sony $494 in parts to make. They are taking the loss to compete with x360. The release is Nov. 22. The $399 is for the basic ps3, if you want the extras it will cost around $700. The games are rumored to be priced higher then x360 games, possible as high as $99 each. The reason SONY is losing out on initial sells is that in 3 years PS3's will only cost $320 to make, they are hoping ps3 is the next biggest consol and will continue profits for 10 years. Hopefully SONY will take a loss with the games as well. But alas ,as a true gamer, SONY's service makes them my mortal enemy. Good luck with their products.

cost about $300 and it will be practically impossible to get in the first 3 months or more. people have pre ordered it since they came up with the idea. good luck in getting one.

It will be release on November 17th in the US. It will cost $499.99 for the 20GB version and 599.99 for the 60GB version!
