yes they will win more games this season because rasheed wallace will finally get some offensive help from nazr mohamed which ben wallace(his offense sucks) could not provide. and they will not suffer defensively without ben wallace because i think mohamed is an underrated defender and likes to do the dirty work, he'll dive for looseballs and sacrifice his body for the team... he can be a perfect role player for the pistons and i feel he is the last piece of the puzzle to get back to the finals...

Detroit will not win more games without Ben Wallace. Detriot is an aging team that's best years are clearly behind it and losing the best-defensive player and most active person in the NBA will only continue Detroit's fall from the NBA elite. They are alot different then the team that beat the Lakers for the title, and while everyone else in the East is getting better, Detroit is getting worse. Ben Wallace's absence will cost Detriot at least five games off their win total from last year.
2koolforU is completely wrong, 10 extra points a game on offense would not even come close to replacing the points a game that he saves.

Absolutely not! Detroit experienced the most success when they were a defensive minded team under Larry Brown. Under Flip Saunders, they have adopted a new strategy which is more offensive. Without Ben Wallace, they will struggle to defend in the paint and have very few defensive minded players. Ben was also the heart and identity of the Pistons. Without his wrist bands, big hair, head band, and mean look the Pistons will appear to be a softer team that can be pushed around. Another bad thing about losing Ben is that he went to their Division rival (The Bulls). They will be hurt by the up and coming Bulls team with improved interior defense to go along with their speed and sharp shooting.

good, we can see what they are fairly produced from now. Joe Dumars would not look like a dummy. I even have referred to this Pistons team is okay run. look at who we've...Tayshaun, Rip, Chauncey, Rasheed, cube...we make sensible acquisitions and function an clever the front place of work. It would not even look Ben Wallace grew to become suitable right into a super variety of a element very final 12 months. i for my section do seem to think of he's hyped up in a manner. some years interior the previous, he acknowledged to be an offensive rebound monster that could continuously furnish Chucky Atkins and Chauncey an marvelous variety of possibilities to take 2nd 3's. Now, after Rasheed grow to be won, I even have referred to Ben's effectiveness acknowledged to be in decline. He would not fairly get those rebounds anymore. If we make some key acquisitions, Ben Wallace isn't surpassed over, and Chicago could comprehend they made an marvelous mistake. i do no longer think of this grew to become suitable right into a vivid pass. Ben is nice properly worth 5-8 million a 12 months long-term, era.

have u ever heard of new and better players? they could get a center who might not be as good defensively but way better offensivly say b wallace averaged 4 poits a game. u get a guy who averages maybe 15 thats a big difference. 11 points how many times have the pistons lost a game by more than that? obviously the pistons will be stronger than ever as they proved this year.

no, whn u lose a key part of a defensive team, it won't make ur team better. and last year detroit set the single season team record 4 wins in a season with 64, so there is no way thy can improve without Big Ben in the next 5 or so years.

I don't know if they'll win more, but his loss isn't going to be as devestating as some claim. They'll have more depth on the bench since they didn't commit max money to him, and hopefully whatever is lost in defense will be made up in improved offense.
I don't blame the Bulls for spending to get Wallace, but the Pistons were also smart in not trying to match.

No way! Ben Wallace striked fear into players who drove up the middle. Nazr Mohammed will look like Santa Claus to them now.

Nah
Ben Wallace wasn't only the defensive anchor of the Pistons, he was the heart and soul. He emodied everything the Pistons are about; Tough, Gritty Defense. They will miss him more than they think.

Defense wins championships. The top defensive player of the last 5 years has now moved on. Do the math. You may win more, but I don't see them going deeper in the playoffs.
