I'm an 18 year old straight female, and ever since I was 11, I've always wanted to go into a gay club (all men) and yeah have fun with them. I love gay men, they're fun and exciting and I'm looking for a gay posse! lol. I've told my straight male friends and they call me weird... do gay clubs accept straight females?

Sure, they'd love to have you. What I've never understood is WHY straight people go into gay clubs. No offense meant to you, of course, but seriously, are we so foreign that you want to go watch us at our best and be all "fun and exciting." I'm sorry, but it's such stereotyping, and I'm not planning on ever being surrounded by a posse of f@g hags like many gay men do. It's your prerogative, of course, but I just don't like the stereotyping, and it almost seems like your unintentionally making fun of us. Sorry, but that's just how I see it.

It depends on the club. Some gay clubs are very welcoming to straight women and other "tourists," while others are downright hostile. I've always found it best to either (a.) frequent clubs that are more or less bi-sexual; that is to say, gay-friendly, but with a generally mixed clientele, or (b.) go to a new place with a gay friend who can introduce me around. This last option gives you a chance to scope out the atmosphere and get a sense of whether you'd be comfortable going there alone. (Sometimes a girl just wants to dance and some gay clubs are totally o.k. with this.) Going with a gay escort the first few times will also give you a sense of where the boundaries are: lots of gay clubs have "gay only" areas that are all about anonymous sex and you don't need to be wandering in where you don't belong.
If you'll take a little advice from an old "*** hag," hanging around with nothing but gay men in gay clubs can be murder on your ego, because (a.) these guys are not about girls and you can start feeling frumpy and invisible if you spend too much time in gay bars and (b.) some of the patrons are going to see you as direct competition and so, will be just unbelievably bitchy and rude. (Sometimes its fun, though, to try to look as drag-queeny as you can--can you pass yourself off as a woman posing as a man posing as a woman?)
If you want to make some gay male friends, the best thing to do is to join a group of some sort. Most cities that have Pride celebrations are willing to accept straight volunteers--especially when it gets to be fesitval time--and if you're in school, there is undoubtedly some kind of gay-straight allianance organization.

LOTS of straight females go to gay clubs to dance without being hit on. Not a big deal; just find one that's 18+ instead of 21+. I do have some reservations that you seem to be looking for some pet gay friends; just meet people and treat them as people.

Come on in Darling, the more the merrier. Absolutely you can go to a gay club. The only ones you might not be able to go would be the Leather Bars and such, but go for it, enjoy. Gays love to see straight supporters in the clubs afterall that is the point of bringing people together isn't it.

Yes of course. Don't know what it's like in the states though, but we don't generally segregate gay men and Lesbians in the UK, so you might find it has women there too.
Ideally you'll enter the club with a gay friend.
Oh and you'll probably get the moniker of F@g-H@g, but don't worry it's a term of endearment - not a slur.

Absolutely! We love straight open-minded ladies. Every time I go out, it seems that half of the customers there are straight women.
It's also fun for a bunch of gay guys to get together and "invade" straight clubs.

lawd!!!!!!!! grrl unless there's a sign on the door that says no straight females it's still america! you can go. grab your gay boyfriend and leave your man at home. most queers are accepting of an open minded hetero in the club. just be open minded and non judgemental. you might get a drive by makeover if you're snotty. and most lezbos ARE NOT NOT NOT into hetero women so have fun

I went to a lesbian club with lesbian friends and did okay, there was one person glaring at me though. I think if I were you I'd look for a gay "escort" to vouch for how "cool" you are. Gay men can be kinda catty and might not like you being there alone.

straight people (male and female) come in the gay clubs I go to here in St. Louis. they are welcome...they usually are coming in with their friends. everybody usually gets along really well.

Hmm, that is a first! many of the gay adult men golf equipment are the perfect to bypass in. the ambience is way extra perfect than the immediately golf equipment. i have been to at least one gay Mens club, no longer understanding it became. We went there to have dinner. It became no longer till eventually after 7 and then we realized it became extra adult men then blend couples. We stayed and had the perfect time of our lives. If the heterosexual golf equipment were this strong, surroundings etc... ought to bypass out extra.
