I've been married to my husband for five years and he's great, but over the past 3 years or so he has stopped brushing his teeth and has gained alot of weight. I've tried everything to get him to take care of himself. I dont know what else to try???

gross! he obviously has lost interest in himself. Girlfriend, there is NOTHING YOU can do. You can't make someone do something, no matter how hard you try. One person simply cannot make someone do something they do not want to do. It has to be within himself that he wants to do those things. Sounds like he might be depressed about something. Did something of signifance happen about the time he stopped caring about himself? Are drugs and alcohol involved in his life?

Ouch.. that's a bit gross.
My guess is that something's wrong. As suggested above, I'd investigate whether something happened in the last 4 years or so that might have brought this about.
Not caring about himself and his environment is one of the symptoms of depression.

I know how you feel, I just got married to my husband, but pretty much the whole time we were together he was like that and he still is!
I have to ask him 3 or 4 times to brush his teeth.

He may be suffering from depression. No amount of brow'beating will change that. Suggest he talk with someone about his drastic changes. He does need help.
