I'm 12 weeks pregnant and was given Adderall by my OG-GYN before I found out. I am out and don't see him until next week, do you know if there's any harm in this? Serious answers please! I have seen some of the unwarranted sarcastic remarks in other answers.

I found this on WebMD for you.

This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Infants born to mothers dependent on this medication may have birth defects, be born too soon (premature delivery), and have low birth weight. They may also have withdrawal symptoms. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice possible mood changes, agitation, or unusual tiredness in your newborn. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

This medication passes into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Breast-feeding is not recommended while using this drug. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

If you call your Obgyn's nurse hotline (which most have) I'm sure they'll give you the proper instructions.

When did you find out? You could have called his office and asked and they could have told you. Only your doctor can tell you for sure if it is safe. because he knows your medical history.

you need to go back and tell her you are pregnant. Don't take it until they give the OK. It could possibly cause a misscaraige
