That is utterly ridiculous!

Neither Bush has any ties to bin Laden whatsoever. I think you've been reading too many ultra-liberal blogs.

Why can't we find bin Laden? Every time we have a tool that seems to be working, the New York Times tells the world about it! We were monitoring bin Laden's conversations on his satellite phone until the Times published the story ... and he quit using it. Go figure.

Bin Laden is likely holed up in that part of Pakistan that borders Afghanistan ... a mountainous, rugged area controlled largely by tribes that are fundamentalist and anti-government. Even the Pakistani military hesitates to go in there, because it is so dangerous.

Gaining intelligence on anyone hiding in that area relies on someone from that area disclosing the information. We have no friends there willing to do that.

How do YOU propose we get that intel?

Instead of simply buying everything said by those who hate us and kill our troops and a great many Iraqi civilians ... why not listen to what our own military, intelligence agencies and government are saying? Do you really consider our enemies true sources ... and Americans as liars??

People like you and the New York Times have done and are doing more damage to the war effort than bin Laden.

Yes - through their families. What was that Kevin Bacon theory? We're all known to each other by a network of a maximum 6 hops.

Why isn't Laden caught? Because he probably died whilst on the run. Isn't he quite old and wasn't the healthiest person before 9/11. Not a great nor satisfactory story, and so in the interest of both sides his persona is kept alive.

Well, it seems to be clear that Bush had business dealings with the Bin Laden family, if not with the famous Osama himself ... a search on the net will give you several examples, and they can't all be wrong .... here's just one example of what the net throws up:

"In 1979, Bush?s first business, Arbusto Energy, obtained financing from James Bath, a Houstonian and close family friend. One of many investors, Bath gave Bush $50,000 for a 5 percent stake in Arbusto. At the time, Bath was the sole U.S. business representative for Salem bin Laden, head of the wealthy Saudi Arabian family and a brother (one of 17) to Osama bin Laden. It has long been suspected, but never proven, that the Arbusto money came directly from Salem bin Laden. In a statement issued shortly after the September 11 attacks, the White House vehemently denied the connection, insisting that Bath invested his own money, not Salem bin Laden?s, in Arbusto.

"In conflicting statements, Bush at first denied ever knowing Bath, then acknowledged his stake in Arbusto and that he was aware Bath represented Saudi interests. In fact, Bath has extensive ties, both to the bin Laden family and major players in the scandal-ridden Bank of Commerce and Credit International (BCCI) who have gone on to fund Osama bin Laden. BCCI defrauded depositors of $10 billion in the ?80s in what has been called the ?largest bank fraud in world financial history? by former Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. During the ?80s, BCCI also acted as a main conduit for laundering money intended for clandestine CIA activities, ranging from financial support to the Afghan mujahedin to paying intermediaries in the Iran-Contra affair.

Bin Laden is Bush's chief campaign consultant.

Bin Laden will pop up when ever bush needs to win an election. Like the boogey man. To scare all the stupid little american children.

I'll bet they chat it up all the time.
