The Egg came first, as the first chicken's parents were not chickens, and the very first chicken was an egg first!

Hi:

My answer to your question is in the following:

If your the religious there are two answer to this question depending on how far back in time you want to go :

1) if you go back to Noah and the worldwide flood it's the chicken because he took two chicken aboard the ark; a rooster and a hen.

I quote from the Bible (KJV) :
Gen 7:14-16:
"In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; 14) They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

15) And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

16) And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. "

2) If you go back to Creation; on the fifth day : it's the chicken again ,because I quote from the bible (KJV): Gen 1:20- 22 :"And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. ",

"And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. ",

"And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth."

If your the scientific type the fossil record show the maybe the dinosaur evolved into the bird (again the chicken)

However when this question is asked: scientist are reffering to a paradox meaning if a egg was destoryed in the past would you still have a chicken ? the answer of course is no.

It's like if you went back in time and prevented your Dad from meeting your Mother before you were born, Would you still be born? the paradox is how could you exist to do that in the first place if you were not born in the first place? the answer is either no or a alternate reality for this to happen.

Hope this answer your question

it was actually recently reported that the egg came first becuase the chicken evolved from some other creature and so the genetic mutations that made the chiken diff then parents took place in the egg. the chickens parents weren't chickens

egg came first. i find it more plausible to imagine an egg coming out of some form of fusion or chemical reaction or evolution or what have you, rather than a chicken appearing out of any of these processes, or a previous organism simply changing into a chicken.
