While there are some enlightened answers stated before this one that are very accurate, they all miss the main reason. Terrorism. It is the reason the other events that led to the war happened. And like now the governments of that time were arrogant and bullish, trying to make others believe as they did.

Reason is:
killing of Princ Ferdinand Austrin princ by Gavrilo Princip (bosnian fighter for rights). So austria use this murder like reason to atack Serbia by accusation that Sebria order this murder.
after day Russia supported Serbia. then other day Germany supported Austria, Also France and G. Britain join Serbia and Russia... and war begin
