Yes, it is pretty common. He got a good job, paid child support and he is now the best dad in the world. YOu have to find an employer who will take a chance on you. That is the hardest part. But it is very possible.

Are you asking about a kid or an adult? My father served 8 months in prison for drunk driving in 1997. He has remained sober since and has done very well for himself. The company he was working for at the time took him back after he was released and he has since been promoted several times. He now conducts AA meetings in the local jail weekly and is very active in AA in Florida.

Yes, I can name four off the top of my head. Two are in business for themselves, a third now pastors a church, and the fourth now oversees a prison ministry while working a full-time job.
God has worked wonders in all four lives.
All four served their time in NY State prisons.
One spent 18 years in for multiple crimes; one spent 18 months in for a single crime; one spent 14 years in for a single violent crime. The fourth was a "white collar" criminal who spent a year in prison.
God changes lives when the lives are willing to be changed by Him.
