no but I would not be surprized to find out something like that happened in ww2 or now in iraq money is a very powrful motivator never underestimate the allure of sudden wealth or even the perception of achieving it

Yes. I worked with a guy who was a consultant to the film when it was made. He had a gold ring, much like a Super Bowl ring that he said they gave him for working on the film. It said Kelly's Heros on the face of the ring. This was back in 1976, I was a Deputy Sheriff, and so was he, although I was 21 and he was probably 45.
