I've actually been thinking about this same question lately. I recently rededicated my life God and I own about 900 CDs. Some of the CDs I own are contemporary Christian music (Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Nichole Nordeman, etc.) and some.............well, some are far from either contemporary or Christian. You can listen to whatever you want, but I think, if you're a Christian (or heck, even just a responsible adult), you should always be mindful of what you're listening to, and ask yourself if the lyrics of the song represent you and what you believe.

omg! do you want to be a follower, like a stupid little sheep in a flock? Listen to what makes you happy. Listen to music that you feel represents your ideas about the world, the principles you believe in. There isnot just ONE thing that all christians should listen to. If they did, people would never open their minds and hearts to new revalations. Being a christian does not mean being a mindles, brainless nobody who does what ever anyone tells you to. Sorry, but the answers arent' that simple. Only stupid people want to be told what to do, becuase they have no imagination and are afraid of analyzing and thinking about the world themselves.

Listen to the music that moves you. Music in itself is not evil and listening to rock, country, rap or whatever doesn't necessarily make you a sinner or mean that you are going to hell.
