Is molten steel the only method to eliminating a T-1000 from Terminator 2?

Anything where you separate the parts of him and prevent them from reassembling. Freeze and shatter almost worked, but his parts found each other. I bet using an EMP would work, temporarily, too, long enough to disassemble him.

It's a polymetal alloy.

There are two ways to destroy it. Know where it's cpu is located and destroy it when it forms into a solid. Or, degrade it's alloy by mixing it with other metals, like molten steel.

Oh yea, the other extreme. In T3 it was demonstrated that the TX and for that matter the T1000 can be destryed by a hydrogen bomb or intense energy explosion, once again destroying the machine's cpu and therefore the machine.

I thought that melting the T1000 was the only way and very high temperatures were needed. Molten steel just happened to be conveniently located nearby, however molten anything would have worked.
