Dogs! Dogs are the most loving, loyal creatures I know. I love to take mine dog to the lake and let her swim. She's trained and can ride in the car with the kids. She protects the home and knows when to be on guard. Cats suck!

'Better' depends more on you, then the choice of pet. I like them both for different reasons.
Cats are low maintenance, fiercly independent, affectionate and sincere, (sincere sounds strange but -they don't suck up, what you see is what you get..).
Dogs are loyal and protective, great companions, and become more a part of your life.
I have had them both, currently I have a 9 yr old cat, she is always waiting by the door when I get home at night, (maybe she thinks she is a dog?). She is a part of the family, and a joy to be around..

I Find Cats Are Better They always seem to know when your sad and they want to cuddle with you when you cry. Well atleast mine does. Dogs can be good also when you want someone to play with. (I Own three dogs and a cat)

Cats are better. They are well behaved, they dont stink like dogs do, they know where to go to the bathroom and they bury it so you dont step in it. and if youre lucky you'll find a cat that will sit in your lap and cuddle with you in bed like mine does. They also have a more independant spirit... i find that to be more fun than a dog that will just follow you around everywhere with that dumb look on its face.

Cats rule, dogs drool. Cats are cleaner more self sufficient. Dogs of course are more loyal and social than cats. Depends on your personal preference. Mine is cats.

Cats (although I love dogs too). Cats do not require walking/exercising, they use a litter box so you don't have crap in your yard and you don't have to let them out in the early morning like dogs. Also easier to transport to vet, and when moving. No drooling, slobbering, barking, or humping (males only). :)

I dont like dogs. You have to walk them outside and wait for them to pee and pop then clean it up. You have to give them baths. If you live in a cold cold climate, you have to walk them outside in the cold.

Cats go in a box and they clean themselves.
That is why I have 2 of them. Use to have 3.
They dont chew on your shoes, like dogs.
They dont go threw your garbage.
They can take care of themselves more than dogs.

not sure which to get, get a ferret. i've had a couple ferrets and they are a combination of the two - loyal and fun like dogs, able to be left alone and litter trained like a cat.

Cats are better. Cats are smarter and more independent. You can leave them home all day and your house will still be intact.
