This is a nice idea, but human nature doesnt work this way. People dont want to live peacfully, conflict is part of the definition of ego.
If we all minded our own business then any nation with any intentions could do as they wish with anything.
That includes the earth and all its resorces, factories and all their wastes, technology and all its advancements, munitions and all their stockpiling, and nuclear endevors.
For those countries who want to live in fairy land where everything is happy and people just do as they please, they would have a rude awakening when their neighbor, in a classic display of human evil, nukes their asses off the the planet. The rest of the happy go lucky hippy nations would have to live with the radiation, nuclear winters, and environmental hazzards, because they didnt want to stick their noses in other peoples business.
nukes aside, without nations over seeing and participating in a global community the species that this ecosystem rely on could be wiped out by any nation wishing to do so, without regard for how it shapes our world or effects the planet. Same with pollution and resorces.
No man is an island unto himself, no country is either. we are a society whether you want to participate or not, and human intention at times can be quite selfish and evil.
greed, lust, personal gain, hatred, and self empowerment are all at the base of most human endevors. People rarely become leaders for the soul purpose of protecting and serving their people, and even democracy has is down falls, and it is still a minority among the masses.
Yours is a completely rediculous suggestion, as though you dont even understand the purpose of a government, or the motivating factors in the average person.

I think that party politics is the bane of civilization, and more parties just means more corruption.
The answer would be a pyramid system, where the populace would elect the local legislature, and the local legislature would elect regional council from their ranks, and the regional councils would elect state legislatures from their ranks, and the state legislatures would elect national representation from their ranks and the national representatives would elect a president from their ranks. It is much harder to buffalo a peer who has regular contact with you, than it is to bedazzle a mob. The power broking at the top pushes forward the greatest entertainers over the more capable workers.
Perhaps even if there was a congressional/senate nomination aside the regular party nominees in the presidential race it might water down the party politics.

Voting for a third party as it stands now only ensures the division of votes and in actuality works for the two major parties in getting elected. Until a third party can come up with a viable ,charismatic candidate that can spark the loyalty of the people as a whole, and inspire the masses can we ever to expect a change from our two party system

Third party voting (if effective) would make a big difference in the ability for the people to have a real voice in government. The only hope for third parties is IRV, Instant Runoff Voting...get involved with it.

I agree, we should have a third party with real political muscle. Government exists to serve the people, but corruption and bureaucracy is an inherent part of the political process.

Sorry Mr Isolationist. World trade is a reality. And in all honestly, most countries including the USA, are not self sufficient. This is not a solution. It's wishful thinking that's impossible and irrational to implement.

You are unaware of the reality of human ambition. The lust for power crosses all governments and religions. Choose a side. The greatest sin in life is to sit by and watch.

No I do not agree with you...I don't really like politics or warfare but I think that if a government or country or dictatorship or whatever it is you call it is going to treat thier people unfairly, rape kill, or whatever for no apparent reason other than to feel more powerful, then I think other governments should definately intervene.
