lay down on your left side. you can also try a warm bath drinking fluids. if they do not stop or get stronger than get to the hospital as it may take medication to stop the contractions. since this happened before with an early birth you may need to take it easy. you may be prone to giving birth early. hope all goes well for you.

Me too at 21 weeks and this is much earlier than with my first pregnancy. They were lasting 20 to 30 minutes at a time...uncomfortable. Don't worry because this is normal for the 2nd trimester on (I have an arsenal of reference books I've checked). I have gotten relief from laying on my LEFT side as much as possible after I get home from work. At first they stopped only when I was laying, but the more days I spend doing this the more relief I have when I am not at home where I can lay down. If they are real labor contractions moving or laying should not make them go away or change. I also read that the antibiotic cefalexin (aka cephalexin or Keflex) can bring on contractions. If you are taking this they might subside once you are finished with the round of medicine. I hope that they are just Braxton-Hicks contractions.

because the others stated, the wellbeing facility wouldnt deliver you domicile fantastically PREGNANT in case you and the toddler were in hazard, so that you're nice, best element to do is to loosen up, drink an excellent style of water. mattress time is significant because you sense susceptible: placed a pillow lower than your abdomen. Contraction are general, some females get them early thats skill your uterus is getting waiting and not in any respect thats youre going to be in exertions. The exertions contraction section LOT extra painful and also you'll defenitively understand you're toddler is on the way. when you're concerned about miscarriage, call your gynecologist asap, hell study you, see in case your toddler is nice and also you'll sense a lot extra acceptable :)

well first coz its ur second pregnancy know that its normal to feel things eariler on during ur pregnancy so havin braxton hicks eariler than ur last child is normal! and second you can't stop the contractions try go for a warm bath to relax you or walk i know when i was in labour that helped my pain walking, or lay down with a hot water bottle or even an ice pack and place it where ur having the contractions i also did this during my labour for contractions. but time them!! if they get closer together and get more painful ur going to pre-term labour and need get to the hospital to try and stop it

Are you sure you're not experiencing Braxtons Hicks? If you are this is a good thing as the uterus is practicing in time for the big day, so I wouldn't do anything to prevent them. If you're having continuous regular contactions I'd see your midwife asap. If they're causing you too much pain definately see your midwife. i hope this helps!

I think those are called Braxton-Hicks (sp?) contractions. They are a way for your uterus to prepare itself for labor and delivery. It's sort -of a practice contraction. It's best to not try to stop it and let your body prepare for birth the best way it can.

But as always, ask your doctor before taking advice from anyone in here.

There probably Braxton Hicks or practice contractions. Its normal now but if they get worse or continue for long periods of time GET TO A HOSPITAL!!! Also, to slow the practice contractions down.....rest, take a seat, sip some tea. They go away....I know its annoying but you get used to them ; )!
