You are looking at this all wrong.
Sure some plants developed good tasting fruit to helps seeds spread.
Animals did not "develope" good tasting meat, rather PREDATORS developed organs to which meat WOULD taste good.
Some animals reacted and made their meat inedible, some even poisonous.

It tastes "good" because it is processed, injected with chemicals, frozen and cooked. Try to eat it raw, unprocessed and without being frozen. In other words, if you are a real predator go to the forest kill the animal with your own hands and nails and sink your teeth into the troath of your prey. Don't buy it from the supermarket, because it tastes good! And think what you are eating after all. This is the corpse of a dead animal, usually mercilessly killed in a slaughterhouse. Your body is becoming a graveyard where you are buring the dead bodies of innocent animals. Do you still feel the "good" taste, a, protein need defenders?
What if I serve you your favorite pet as a dinner? Whould you like to eat your pet cat or dog if it tastes good, a? So why you support killing the cow which is like a mother for us providing the most nutritious food the milk (which by the way contains all the required proteins)?

I'm going to get into a long story about this, because I want to also address the need for idiots, as well as why meat tastes good.

Back in the olden cave man days, there lived 2 cavemen named Grog and Ugg. Grog was the smart one, who made things like the wheel, and fire. Ugg, being not so bright, was usually the person who tested things out, like how far the wheel would roll with him in it, or how hot the fire was. One day Grog made something called a "spear" out of an old branch that fell near his cave. He told Ugg that he wanted to test it out, and Ugg grunted agreement. So Grog stabbed Ugg in the shoulder, Ugg screamed in pain, then fainted. This gave Grog an idea. Grog decided that this "spear" could be used to fend off the pesky Sabre toothed Tiger that has been hanging around the cave and trying to take his family. The next day that Sabre toothed tiger came along and Grog, ready with spear, killed the Sabre toothed Tiger. Grog soon came up with another idea after that. He had noticed the Tiger killed a mammoth a few days earlier, and that the Tiger ate that mammoth, so maybe he could do the same to the Tiger. He called his trusty friend Ugg over and told him to try the meat. Ugg disliked the meat very much and Grog was dissapointed. Then Grog came up with an idea. Maybe if he combined his inventions all together, he could make the meat taste good. He made a small wheel and attached it to the end of a spear. He then made a medium sized fire and put to long sticks upright on opposite sides of the fire. Lastly, he stuck the "spear" completely through the Tiger, and put the spear atop those 2 sticks. Grog had completed the first version of a Rotisserie. After he cooked and turned the meat with the little wheel until it was well done, and then he made Ugg taste it again. Ugg liked it, even though it burned his tongue.

There you go. The point is raw meat probably doesn't taste good, just after you cook it it tastes good. This also explains why we need stupid people, so they can be there to test things that could potentially hurt us.

Meat is very much so meant to be eaten. If not by us, then by carnivores. They have to have meat to survive, and they can't eat plants because their digestive system doesn't support it.

EDITS: Man I should've put a part in my story about vegetarians..

Aumklim obviously you've eaten a bunch of crap fed to you by terrorist PETA. I'd rather eat meat than that garbage.

Why isn't it meant to be eaten? If animals were not eaten, they would over run the earth.

Think about the Native Americans, used every single part of an animal.

We were provided with meat, because our own bodies need that protien.

If it didn't taste good, then we wouldn't eat it. Therefore it has to taste good so we WILL eat it.

Bring on the steak!

It is in our instinct to eat meat. We are like animals in that aspect, using the meat as protein to get strength and survive. I believe meat was meant to be eaten. And the reason meat tastes good is because you most likely grew up eating meat, and therefore you have developed a taste for it. Just like in other countries where pig's bladder is a delicacy, they culd find foods we enjoy in America revolting, like meat, or pizza.

Human beings are ominvores - they eat any damn thing. There are people who don't find meat to be particularly tasty, and eating meat is not necessary for the development and growth of muscle, only protein is needed for that, from any source. Rice and beans are a good source of the required proteins, for example.

Meat is a very efficient source of not only the required protein but also of many vitamins and minerals, because it is made of protein and fat and concentrates the vitamins and minerals that the animal from which the meat comes eats.

Carnivores have a design that enables them only to eat meat - your felines and canines, for example. But people are not carnivores, and they really do need to eat a variety of foods besides meat to be healthy.

Meat could taste particularly good to you because you are getting your vitamins and minerals principally from meat, instead of from other sources like fruit and veggies.

Meat tastes could because it's good for you. There's no reason to believe that it's "meant" to be eaten, but we do know that humans are naturally omnivores – consuming both meat and plants.

Thing is, we're omnivores with willpower. So if we think there are good reasons for refraining from meat-eating – our own consciences, for example – then we have the ability to abstain.

Humans were meant to be onmivorous, because we have both sharp teeth and flat teeth, and eyes on the front of our head as though we were predators at one time. Meaning, meat is a natural part of our diet but some people choose not to eat it. It's a good source of protein, so they say.

It doesn't taste good.

The only way to make it taste good is by watching the show "Good Eats" which features a 30min segment on the chemistry and physics of preparing a cooked meat dish palatable enough to eat.

We texturize, heat, herb and spice -- rendering fat in this fibrous fillet... you might as well ask why do Pop Rocks taste good. It's the same business.

In Russia they really would boil their boots to make soup.
I wonder if they came to like it.

Meat is not good to taste but it is your taste buds which tell you that it is good for you. The same is not true for everybody. Meat may be good for you but bad for someone else who doesnot like meat. Nothing is good or bad thinking makes it so. Taste buds compell your thought process to come to your conclusion otherwise there are many good /tasty things in this world meat is prepared by taking one's life it may not be worth the cost of the lifelost.
