Well not apparently to accord to the category you are in the wrong asking place.
Nothing has a word so it must be something, nothing is a void of plain or darkness. Nothing is the thing that exists amongst the outside of the universe, ie, nothingness the pop group isn't anything now in fact they are getting a good pay role in music videos and music for movies.

It' does where women are concerned!
e.g, "Whats the matter?" :man
"Nothing! Ok!" :woman
e.g "What have you spent all of my hard earned wages on and maxed out my credit card with?" :man
"Oh, nothing(as the bottom falls out of a bag stuffed with clothes and make up and a brand new Honda and a pair of those eye lash curlers that look like some sort of torture device.)" :woman

Nothing ever meant anything.
It just means less now, and is cheaper.
