It is such a human trait to search for a meaning in everything. Life has no meaning and it just happens as is. What we call order is merely life evolved over billions of years and it all just seems so perfect the way it worked out. It worked out that way because the life we see today had the right stuff to meets the needs of the world it lives in. The rest of the stuff is long dead. Stop searching for a meaning and start living life as is.

*I think the meaning of life is to learn to understand everything that happens, the reason why they happen, to enjoy, make mistakes, cry, smile... I don't think we will be judge for this, but ourselves and concience when at the end we look back in our life and feel pleased or disgusted. I think it's to do anything to at that moment be able to smile like you know some joke nobody else knows. I guess it actually means different things to different people. to leave a legacy, such as a work of art or a book, to live
to pursue a dream, vision, or destiny, to seek freedom, either physically, mentally or financially . To Spend the Time that we were granted doing whatever we want as long as we harm no one.

There is no general meaning of life as a whole that applies to everyone - the only meaning of life is that which each person gives it. Of course, many people buy in to things like religion which purport to define the meaning of life but these are just artificial (indeed incompatible and competing) groupings invented by man as a substitute for thinking.

we all did'nt ask to be born we are just here, feeling, seeing, learning, Once you are in your 40's all you have learned is now ripe and we realize we have a purpose, we are all tied together with an invisible cord, that is why this makes me think.....
a whole bunch of people were sitting around a big bowl of soup, with arms that are long spoons, when they tried to feed themselves they could'nt so they starved, over at the next bowl was the same situation but they fed each other and survived so basically that is the meaning to life to me, helping each other to get threw this life, and in the end we will all know why we are here the answers will be crystal clear, because we don't really die, just our physical bodies not our spirits. peace

Death. It's the common denominator to most, if not all, of the religious and philosophical answers to that question. What kind of life should we live to prepare ourselves? What should we do to make sure we get to Heaven? How do we keep from reincarnating as a pig? How hard should we live it up before we go? Etc., etc., etc. Death or whatever you believe happens next (even if it's nothing) gives life meaning.

People often think that life is a series of things that happen, until you reach a specific destination. I don't agree. While we may go somewhere after we die,or even come back,I believe that the journey itself is the meaning of life. We have to maximize each one of our encounters with all people, places and things. By savoring each time we interact,we get a full, exciting journey.

The meaning of life.

There are many answers.

Maybe one is to live life to the fullest and enjoy it the best you can.

Maybe one is to get noticed or have a place in the world.

Maybe one is to dry and complete all of the knowledge known to us.

Maybe one is (and I think so too) to fix and improve our home and find ways to make it acceptable for the next generations and anyone following.

Life is not a code to be broken. Hunting around for meaning degrades life. Search for anything and everything else: for beauty, for symmetry, for justice, for joy, for truth. The quest for a "meaning" of life is like trying to solve a riddle that hasn't been asked.
