Dude! why are you asking other people what they own and therefore what you must own. Have some confidence in your own decisions. If you are asking what to watch, that would be a different question. Anyhow the rule of thumb that I use for movies is; if I watch it and then keep thinking about it and want to watch it again, then I buy it. If I watch it and never think about it any more then it's not worth the trouble. I also get lots of films from my local library. They've got all the newest DVD's and usually you can reserve them on the internet through the library's website. That way I don't have to spend money on renting and I feel like I get to spend that money on buying DVD's.
This sounds like I don't own many movies, but I own over 500 so I am a big believer in this system.

I'd say all the Indiana Jones flicks, pretty much all of Tarantino's flick. And Godfather 1 the rest if you are into them. Get Ferris Buelers day off. And maybe some others a girl might like but that arent just blatant chick flicks. Something like Princess Bride.

Oh Scarface definately....Man on Fire, Remember the Titans, Men of Honor, Donnie Brasco, The Godfather movies, I guess it really depends on what kind of movies you like.....you better have a girly one if you're single and want to impress a girl.
