Pets usually give comfort and companionship to their owners. In return owners provide food, medical treatment and companionship to their pets. This symbiotic relationship has proven to have benefits for those who are recuperating. In a nutshell, what goes around, comes around.

It gives them something to live for, as a pet will love you no matter what. Stroking a cat or dogs fur calms you and lowers blood pressure. Animals tend to show instant gratification by purring or licking your hand.

i gess they just give them a littile bit of joy to distracte them from
the sickness itself a little compane makes somepeple feel better.
