Okay, I have dark-brown eyes, and I have a light-brown complexion that kind of makes me look biracial or hispanic, well, that's what my aunt told me. I can't wear a lot of make up. Please, I don't want to be attacked by "Don't wear makeup." I just want to try wearing make up and see if I like it. Any tips?

Start slowly and gradually increase the amount you wear, experiment with colors, the worst thing that could happen is that you don't like it and you have to remove it, no harm done.

My daughter likes minimal makeup (and that is fine because she is 14 and my poor nerves can't take her looking any older!).
This is what I suggested for her. One of the nice mineral powders to even out the skintone and provide some sunscreen to protect you from the sun. Loreal makes a great mineral makeup and so does Neutrogena. I would suggest that you find one in your shade and apply it with a very light hand. It is very light and sheer so you would not look "made up" anyway.
For eyes a nice rose or golden brown is great for your skintone. Do light and natural, not heavy. Dust a little rose on the lid and maybe a little vanilla or pale gold just under the brows. You may use a medium brown or slightly deeper rose in the crease, just make sure that you blend everything. When my daughter puts on her eyeshadow I taught her to lightly dust a little of her mineral powder over her lids. This really softens the look.
You should get a find eyeliner brush and sweep just a little rose or brown under the eyes, staying close to the lash line. Powder is much lighter and softer than liner.
A little brown, brown-black or clear mascara will set off your eyes very nicely.
Also, pay attention to your eyebrows. You don't want a unibrow or stray hairs all over the place. Then again, you don't want just a thin line either. If you can, go to a salon and have it professionally done. Have them show you how to maintain them. The eyebrows frame the eyes.
A nice, neutral, very soft blush just on the apples of the cheeks will give you a natural glow. Again, dust a little of your mineral powder over it to blend and soften. When you apply your blush, apply from the temples toward the edge of the nose (but not all the way). I know this sounds backwards, but applying it in this manner gives it a soft finish.
Finally, Neutrogena makes a wonderful tinted lip balm. It is sheer, moisturizing, but gives a hint of color.
I hope you find a nice, nautural make up look you enjoy. Good luck to you. Have fun! If you mess it up, it always washes off!

I think you'd look best with a light-brown or light coloured eye shadow, a thin line of black eye-liner around your eyes (top and bottom) and some black mascara. And some lip gloss on your lips. You dont need foudation because you have a nice coloured skin it would only give you spots. Keep your makeup nice and simple. By what you've said I dont think you really need to wear it and if you do don't use too much.

well first of all, i'm curious as to how old you are if you can't wear a lot of make up but a lot of times, i don't personally wear a lot and i'm 30
i almost never wear lipliner, foundation, or concealer. and you really don't need those things...or rarely need them regardless of your age.
so that really leaves blush, shadow, eyeliner and mascara.
which you really only need 3 of those four things to have a great look:
1. use blush on the outer end of your eyebrow (towards your cheeks on an angle, not towards your nose), down the bridge of your nose and on your cheeks
2. blend
3. put your eyeshadow on...whatever color you want
4. for a little added gleam to your eyes, use either gold or silver eyeshadow or glitter and put it on the inner corner of your eyelid (next to your nose) and blend up. you can also sweep a teeny tiny bit from the inner corner of your lower lid and out, but blend very well.
5. clear, soft black, or soft brown mascara
and if you can use chapstick or something of the like...blistex and burt's bees have lipcare products that are not gloss/stick that have a very slight tint to them that you could use.
good luck and happy learning

Girl you sound like you have the right complexion for nice makeup lol. Try pigmented shadow from Mac Cosmetics. It will really bring out your eyes, as well as compliment your grade skin tone. Try pinks, greens, yellows, or purples, or light blues or a torquoise blue..that'll be pretty lol. And as for lip gloss maybe still to a clear glossy pink or something.

go to a clinique counter...they always have a more natural look to their make up and how they do it...tell them what you can or can't wear and they'll help out a lot....their colors are subtle and won't make you look like you have a lot on...perfect for someone like you who doesn't want a drastic or harsh look...
