It's choreographed, but that doesn't mean it's not dangerous. Hart died from a stunt gone wrong.

Even if the WWE was fake, don't you think they get hurt too from beating up each other? They do things in a way that it will convince people that it's real but still restrain themselves from beating each other too much and get badly hurt. They're trained to withstand those kind of stuff. Ya know, getting beat up and all. They've been expecting those ever since the day the they started.

Owen Hart died because of an accident in Kansas City, Missouri on May 23, 1999, during the WWF's Over the Edge PPV event. It wasn't planned to turn out that way. He fell off from where he was supposed to jump (the rafters) with a harness to be released just before his face touches the ground so his fall will look real. His storyline involved him being a little stupid so yeah.. he was basically trying to look stupid with his entrance as Blue Blazer, or something like that. The ones who were in charge of that decided not to put on the emergency backup latches of the harness which triggered an early release.

As for Bret Hart, he retired first after that match against Goldberg in which he suffered concussions after. He continued to appear occassionally though. He stopped FOR REAL as in no more guestings when he suffered a stroke after a bicycle accident in June 2002. The Calgary Herald reported that Hart hit a pothole, flew over the handbars of the bike and landed on the back of his head. Hart suffered partial paralysis after the stroke, which required months of physical therapy. Hart has since recovered much of his mobility and is in good health, although he still suffers from an emotional imbalance. He has made considerable progress since then, although he will never fully recover. It's also coz of the Montreal Screwjob and the complications with his contracts between WWE and WCW before.

That's a good question. WWE is not "fake" injury wise, but sometimes, some of it is fake so people don't get as badly hurt, but definitly not all of the time! The injuries are 100% real. Bret Hart had a heart attack recently, but is still alive and he is recovering. He was inducted into the WWE 2006 Hall of Fame. And of course, he is still mad at HBK. He would not show up at WM22 because Michaels was there. So I must say, in summary: Wrestling is not all "fake", I am very sorry that Owen died, and Bret Hart is recovering of a heart attack, and he is doing better. Have a fantastic day!

Wrestling is scripted, the bookers decide who wins the matches, how long the match will last and what moves will be performed during the match. So before they even step into the ring they know who the winner will be. Owen Hart died because of a stunt that went horribly wrong, since then stunts like that have been voluntarily banned by WWE. Brett Hart was screwed because that was his last match in the WWE and because the Monday Night Wars was going on strong Vince didn't want to be imbarresed having the leaving champion take the title and desecrate it on WCW television like it happened three years before when a wrestler left WWE with the title and threw it in the trash on WCW TV. They agreed that Hart would lose the title to Shawn Michaels before he left. However it was in Canada and Hart did not want to lose the title in his home country much less to Shawn Michaels who he dispises so Vince McMahon went down to ringside and while Shawn Michaels had Hart in a submission move Mr. McMahon ordered for the bell to ring.Hart was supposed to get out of the move but McMahon stopped the match giving the title to Michaels. Although that is the most infamous instance of a screw job in american wrestling it is very common in Japan for these screw jobs to happen.

Fake is probably not the best term to use. The events in most matches are scripted. The contestants know who will win going into the match. But as in all things, there can be accidents, Owen's was a terrible one. Bret Hart was "screwed" because of a business decision (the Montreal incident). Or if you're talking about when Goldberg gave him a concussion, a sloppy worker.

I hate that people think just because the outcome is predetermined that it doesn't take any energy to produce a good match. Do you watch a show like 24 KNOWING that Jack Bauer is really Keiffer Sutherland? No, you suspend your knowledge of reality. The wrestlers (like actors) give their best (hopefully) to produce a good show for people.

WWE is staged wrestling, it's like a soap opera for men. However, that being said it still takes an incredible amount of strength, fitness and constitution to be able to perform as they do. Owen Hart died in a tragic accident, he was supposed to drop down from the sealing on a cable to the ring, the cable snapped. I have no idea as to what happened to Bret Hart as I don't follow wrestling.

The wrestling portion is somewhat real, which sometimes results in serious if not fatal injuries. Many people consider it fake because the results of the matches are scripted. People should look at the WWE product for what it is, entertainment. How many people went to the movies last month to watch superman returns and left the theater disappointed because there is no superman in real life? The WWE even calls their product sports entertainment!

First, you have to understand that there is a risk involved. What does a broken harness have to do with what happens in the ring itself. How old are you? Ever notice that there are cameras at the right place at the right time? Hmmmm......Maybe because it's planned. And you think it's real?? The only thing real is that they have completely convinced you that it is real.

Brett Hart is teaching in his own wrestling school. He recently appeared and was inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame. He graciously accepted in his speach.

I saw a guy get hit over the head with a chair and his head busted open. He had to get stitches and everything!! It if was so fake why all the injuries and blood? I now know it's real!!
