Actually, due to the increased tax revenues, a result of the tax cuts which fueled our current economic boom, the deficit continues to shrink. And no, he isn't fiscally conservative, and never was. It's that 'compassionate' (read, big-government) conservatism. It costs a lot of money.

And the Congressional Republicans have forgotten the fiscal responsibility that got them elected to the majority.

More programs need to be cut. As for tax cuts, every taxpayer got a tax cut. Rich people who earn a lot get to keep more of their own money because they are taxed more, and thus pay more.

Lastly, we would have had a deficit anyway. The Clinton recession of 2000 (yes, that's when it started), followed by the economic consequences of 9/11 would have led to major deficits regardless of who was in office.

But if Al Dork had been elected (Thank you again, Lord!) there would not have been tax cuts and there probably would have been additional environmental regulations, and our economy would be in the pooper. Let there be no doubt about that.

The deficit is actually SMALLER in the last month. Revenues are UP 12% (thanks to the tax cuts) and the debt as a percentage of GDP is less than 3%(the lowest its been in 4 years). You don't know what your talking about.

These figures are public information reported by the Office Of Management and Budget (IIRC) and widely reported in major media outlets.
