Well dear. You're the right age.And yes, it is completely normal. Many people get cramps and bloated, and irritable. Some get backpain and muscle aches. Don't worry. Just ralax. Ask your mom for some help. Believe me. She went through the same thing you are. She'll understand and be really helpful!
And this is for sucksazz. Can you please be a little nicer? She is 13 years old. By saying "Jesus Christ that is discusting!", how do you think that makes her feel? I bet it really boosts her confidence up a few notches, eh? If you are going to answer kids questions, then have some tact! It is a legit question after all and I bet there are alot of other 10-14 year old girls who have the EXACT question but are too afraid to ask.

I really depends on you. Some girls start between 9 and 13 others later. If your mom and you have been fight alot lately some cramping and bloating could be related to stress. When this happens try taking deep breaths though your nose and then puff them out through your mouth to see if this doesn't really some of the tension between you and your mom.
But mostly I would say your becoming a woman and we all have different degrees of symptoms its all in our genetic make up.

It all depends on your body. I know of people that started when they were 9 and some when they were 13.
It could be caused from stress if you and your mom are fighting alot. You need to try to work something out with her, maybe even go the the doctor or the health unit and get that checked out.

You should probably expect a period pretty soon. I remember getting in a wicked fight with my brother...I began throwing things at him etc. About a week later I got my period....it wasn't heavy but it was there. I was almost 13 when I got it. I knew girls in grade 5 that had it so the age variance is pretty broad. I say the later the better...it is something that you will have for many years to come. Welcome to womanhood.

well, when you start disharge, you are getting pretty close to time. I started my peroid when I was in the 5th grade. Don't rush it , it will come soon enough! 9-12! My sister didn't start hers until 8th grade.
