Kids today and sex?

Question

I don’t mind the genuinely curious questions about sex, but why are there so many kids asking sick and inappropriate questions to get a laugh? Also, why are there 12 year olds telling us that they had sex? Kids today (and I'm only 17) treat sex like its a fad, more education is needed in schools I say!

Kids today are nonchalant about sex because they are desensitized about the whole idea of sex at such a young age. With all the sex on tv and movies and the sexual undertones of video games, it is almost impossible to keep young kids away from seeing things with sex in them. I think that kids joke about sex and sexual things because they really don't understand the whole concept and are too embarrassed to ask serious questions. I am only 25, but I know that when I was 12, sex and even really boys weren't even on my mind, but that is probably because I was brought up watching shows like Sesame Street and not playing games like Grand Theft Auto. I think more education needs to come from parents because that is who the children can relate to more.

I think there should be more supervision with the parents. I didn't have sex until I was 18. I had good supervision the whole time and kept myself busy with work and babysitting. Parents have alot to do with it. I dont think its the schools part to teach them the parents should. If a kid at the age of 12 is having sex, its not experimental its boredom. I say get them active on sports or something to stay occupied.

im 12 and i wouldnt think about having sex until i find someone that i will probably marryy ( after marriage)
i kinda went through a little of this..
but im not a sex-crazed little kid.
but the main reason is that kids want to grow up.
and too fast.
they're worrying about boyfriends..and who knows what else..
and they cant consentrate on their work or anything important.
i mean..having a loved one isnt wrong..
but you have plenty of time later in life.
i wanted to grow up to fast too (not nessisarily have sex)
but just be grown up.
highschool..college..you know.
but i realized i gotta slow down and enjoy the life and friends that is/are around me know.

Media! There are way too many tv shows and movies that make a joke out of sex. So there you have it! Kids watch way too much tv now days!

oH,my gosh! I know what you mean!I am thirteen years old and i know what you are talking about. Those kids are so perverted! Mostly boys and sometimes girls! it is so not right!i htink they just do it b/c they want attention or they don't want people making fun of them b/c they can't talk about it.Maybe they talk about it so much and say they did it b/c of the home that they are raised in!Maybe something goes on in their house and they guardians talk about it a lot or do it a lot right in front of them! well, that is my explaination and reason.

think about it.. they are exposed to sex almost all of the time.. internet, magazines, television.. (and they can find everything and anything out on the internet practically).. information and pictures like this weren't available even 15 years ago. they are growing up in an environment with sex everywhere... even with education you have to expect it

i understand what u talking bout im 18 and i have lil cuzzins telling me bout that, im thinkin that they dont know anythingbout that but trust me the fooled me the ones im talkin bout they 13 nad under, i try to tell them right they think its soo big cuz i have a boyfriend and they want to be like big cuzz ash

Amen! Parents need to be more involved in their kids lives and stop letting society raise them.
