I have recently got broadband, and gone wireless. it's great and really quick. However 'yahoo groups' sites have started taking ages to download- longer than with dial up!! sometimes it takes over 2 mins. All other sites work fine and download almost instantly. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be or how I can fix it?
I have XP home, talktalk broadband with belkin wireless router, norton internet security 2006 and spybot.
many thanks

It is very possibly just the demand on the sites servers, have you tried logging on at a quieter time?
If not then give it a try, that will either confirm or prove that it isn't that reason.

If all of the other sites you go to load quick enough then thats really the only viable answer.

1) that can depend on how many other people are logged in at the same time at this site.

2) some sites reduce the download speed for non-members

3) depends of the time you are downloading at 8pm there will be more traffic, than at 3AM

Yahoo does this off and on, you'll find it happens with most sites at one time or another, you can try turning p.c off then back on that sometimes helps other than that it's just a case of waiting it'll soon speed back up

They may just be experiencing technical difficulties - or higher than expected traffic volumes presently.

You download speed is only as fast as the connection to their server, so if is running slow then your connection to their site will also be slow.

As you arent experiencing any other difficulties, I would suggest its their problem and not yours (so there isnt much you can do).

It enables you to hold and convert movies from YouTube or different web pages with purely a unmarried click to any a threat format which incorporate MP3 and MP4. in case you acquire the movies in a format properly suited with your cellular device, which incorporate your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Nokia or despite you are going to be able to desire to apply, then you certainly can purely drag them or use a 0.33-party app like iTunes or Floola to take your new movies or music everywhere you pass.
