The media, newspapers, professors, colleges, this and past administrations, and everyone on this board each have their own opinion....the right thinks the left is wrong and stupid and vice versa....both sides are afraid of each other....as far as the media goes, they publish only the bad news because most people don't want to read the good news.

Huh? Bush has surrounded himself with intelligent people, more intelligent than he is. Condoleeza Rice, Dick Cheney, Ashcroft, etc are very smart and talented people. He has nominated extremely intelligent judges to the federal courts.

So, when you say that he is 'scared of people with intelligence', you are just saying nonsense.

And where do you get the idea that the media and journalists are intelligent? That's one thought that never crossed my mind.

Lastly, just because professors in colleges have degrees in one subject, does not mean they have any wisdom or knowledge about other subjects (e.g. Noam Chomsky, linguist). Nor does the fact they have degrees mean they are honest or unbiased or correct.

A little healthy skepticism on ideas that both support or contradict one's beliefs is a good thing, and is necessary to the critical thinking process.

The media has been controlled by the liberals forever. You really need to do your homework before making a statement like this. If you want to really be imformed watch Fox News. Stay away from the liberal controlled NBC, ABC, CBS. Even CNN is better than the 3 network news stations.

Bush is scared of people who are intelligent because of independence.
Think about it...if a person is too smart, they will start to think for themselves and try to change the world into a better place.
But that is not the point because people who are that smart will change society in their perfect world.
The smart person will overthrow the government, and then establish a set of laws suitable for him/her.

Being too smart is not good, cause control is unlimited.
