I need to find a good air freshener that makes the room stay smelling good for longer than a few minutes. I've tried sprays, potpourri balls, even the plug in ones with the fan in it. I can't do candles because I have a 2 year old that will get into them. I've seen the scent stories and also a freshener that releases a puff every so often...are these any good? What do you recommend?

It releases every so often and uses an "oil" based freshener which last longer and has more effect on the room. I've had great results with it for the "cat box" room! :)

Air Wick Fresh Matic, it's called. You can set it to release a spray every 9, 18 or 27 minutes. I have it and works nicely, however it works best in a small room, like a bedroom. If you want to use it in your living room where I have mine, I would suggest using at least two.

Try the ones that release the scent every 9 or so minutes. I like them in my basement.

the one that releases that even puff every like couple of minutes is really good. i've had it for abouut 2 weeks in my room. it works really well.

potpourri and oil, you can place a film of pil on the pou[porri and put in the window when the sun warms it it works, at night you v=can also put on light bulbs. it is cheap and it works. you can buy several different smells for you season ir mood.
