There are four things sadly lacking in humanity today as follows:
RESPECT, EMPATHY, SINCERITY, AND COMPASSION!
If everyone gave everyone else these three gifts the world would be a better place.

respect for the value of our time
Many people are saying love or peace or some other lofty notion, this is sweet, but naive.
We each need the knowledge that we will be allowed to exist, that our value as humans is more that our value as part of the production machine.
Currently the American work ethic is established by those who are working for luxuries, and imposed on those working for survival. The 40 (50 +) workweek should provide more than rent and groceries.
Necessities should be attainable for about 15 – 20 hours a week. The rest of our time is beter spent in “leisure activity”
leisure activity should be valued more, and more productive. Time to be artist, inventers, historians and yes, time to relax.
The gift we can give each other is the same gift we can give to our selves,
respect for the value of our time
and not selling that time to others too cheaply.
You should never let other people make more money of your time that they are paying you.

The greatest gift we can give each other in our daily lives is kindness. Be kind to one another. Care for one another. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, however, the greatest gift that we can give each other and all of humanity is immediate action to slow down, halt, and to ultimately reverse global warming. Our children are inheriting a global environmental catastrophe that is already beginning to unfold before our eyes. If we are to prevent the world from becoming a living hell that will ultimately extinguish humanity, we must change our lifestyles and pressure our government and big corporations to make the changes necessary for the survival of the human race.

I think it is To uplift the spirit. I've heard it said that it's not what you say to people, it's how you make them feel that they remember. So with a positive attitude, LISTEN to where they are and help them step up into a lighter place.

This one I learned late, but hope it will be of as much help to you as it has been to me in my life in this regard:
LOVE is acting in the BEST INTEREST of the one LOVED.
One simple rule, but makes TREMENDOUS DIFFERENCE when carefully, consistently applied in life!
Best wishes! :)
PS I wish we could just GIVE each other FAITH, but, that is just not how it works, each one must come to find his/her OWN.
If I have been of any help to any one in such regard, I will simply be grateful for that: I hope your seeking leads you to find a beautiful life. You might find some of your answers HERE http://www.billygraham.org/SpiritualHelp_Index.asp -- & a GIFT you might find helps meet your sensed need is HERE https://www.billygraham.org/freeoffer.asp?f=0& Best wishes! :)
