Do you want "side effects" or "symptoms".

A side effect is something that happens as a result of something else.

A symptom is a sign that may point in the direction of a disease.

One "side effect" of ovarian cancer would be death! Hysterectomy, chemotherapy, etc are all common as a result of ovarian cancer.

Some symptoms may be abdominal/pelvic pain, weight loss, swelling of the area, or other things. When in doubt, consult your doctor.

You should have yearly pap smear screenings for cervical cancer and during that exam, your dr. will perform a manual exam of your ovaries. If anything is felt, you will be sent for an ultrasound.

Ovarian cancer is a silent, creeping disease. If you have any questions about it or a family history of it...be sure to see your doctor.
