how to fix plymouth voyager window cable?

The driver's window is stuck open. We replaced the motor, which worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now the cable is not working and we don't know how to put it back on. The rainy season is coming, and I can't afford the $300 to a mechanic to fix it. Thanks.

you said cable not strap so yours is a newer one the older ones used a strap that could be replaced
cable ones you need to replace the whole regulator
for a temp fix you can pull the window up and block it with wood or something
you will need to remove the door panel
