Stand in a standard doorway with your elbows at shoulder level, forearms and hands along the door frame. Put one foot through the doorway and lean forward to feel a stretch along the front of the arms/shoulder/chest. Hold 20-30 seconds, 2-3 repetitions, 2-3 times a day.

Sit or stand with good posture. Gently pull your shoulder blades together and down towards your back pockets. Hold 5-10 seconds, 10 repetitions, 3 times a day. This will re-educate those muscles to contract properly.

If you have pain with these exercises, STOP. If you have numbness or tingling in your arms with these exercises, STOP.

If these problems persist, consider contacting your physician for his advice and consider working with a personal trainer or physical therapist regarding this problem.
