This all depends on a couple of things... a) how tall you are, and b) what type of body shape you have. For example, I also weigh 130lbs, and I am 5'3". Without taking into account my shape, these stats would indicate that I am out of the "healthy" BMI range (Body Mass Index). However, I have a very muscular body (remember, muscle weighs more than fat) and my body fat percentage is about 11% (which is alright for women).
Anyway - what I am trying to say is that there are more factors than just your age.
In regards to your mother - she sounds a lot like mine. If you can talk to her, tell her how what she is doing is making you feel. And if she's anything like mine (and can't have a normal, adult conversation) you just need to find a way to educate her on what it means to be healthy!
Hope this helps! and good luck!

honey, ur mom doesnt know what she's talkin bout at all... i'm 18 and i'm 115... and i'm underweight. and i've been told that by doctors... 130 is a totally healthy weight for our age... a light diet and some exercise is healthy but its not healthy to diet and exercise religiously for weight loss purposes... its ridiculous!!! ur 18 and ur mother has no right to tell u how to eat or anything else. stand ur ground!!! especially if she doesnt do the same things herself...

Your 18!
Your mom can't tell you what to do anymore!
At 130 pounds I think you'll be fine, as long as your at least five feet tall.
Don't take your moms crap- especially considering that she shouldn't be feeding it to you because your an adult now anyway...

Tell your mom to relax the kaks! Do some research on the h'internet and show her the statistics! Tell her you appreciate her concern but that you feel comfortable with your body image and do not need the negative feedback.

I think you should make an appointment with your family doctor and have him/her confirm whether you are "overweight" or not. Let someone who really knows what they're talking about recommend what you should do (if anything), and how you should go about doing it. Good luck!

tell your mom that you are an adult and have the right to weigh whatever you want to weigh, to eat whatever you want to eat, and to excercise whenever you want to excercise. Tell her that you're a big girl and can take care of yourself. 130 lbs is by NO MEANS overweight! Tell her to stop controling you -- you shouldn't have to take that .... it is mental abuse!

You are 18 now, she shouldn't FORCE you to do anything. Educate yourself on health & fitness. She should address her own issues in life. Good luck!

You should move out.
Sounds like you mom is watching too much TV.
You don't have to look like the Olson twins. If you're healthy and you feel good then you're fine. next time you go to the Dr. ask them.

you forgot to mention your height, your weight is more or less or just right depends on your height............
about exercising......Great Idea!!but dieting should be a big No,cos skipping meals leads you to eating double after the skipped meal.....you can try and avoid fattening things like sweets, oily, fried, spicy, etc
a 20 mins run on the treadmill everyday is a great solution........
Eat healthy and exercise!!thats the key......dont diet and suffer!!
