Why do white peope spend thousands of dollars going to foreign countries to adopt a child? They obviously do not care that the child looks as they do, so why not adopt one of the many children of color waiting for families in this country? It is so sad to me that they would go half way around the world instead adopting one so desperately in need here.

It's about skin color they are adopting Asian, South Americans and Russians. All with the same skin color of light biege.

Few of them go to Africa or India for kids. The only US babies left are black so they don't get adopted.

That is why you see a family of blonds and the one black hair brown eyed kid and you know she is adopted but the parents refuse to tell.

As long as there is love I'm fine with it.

The proses for adopting a child in America is very hard. Also There are some agencies that have a problem with placing a child of color with a white family, they think that they white parents wont be able to understand the child. The other countries are usually poorer countries and are willing to send a child over to America, so there is less problem getting paperwork and placement. Also these other countries do not have the social welfare system that we have, so most of their money comes from adoptions as they get very little or nothing from the government.

The United States has made it so difficult to adopt here, that is one reason. Majority of 'white' people who adopt abroad are wanting to give a child from a third country a chance at all that America has to offer. It is their money and their lives, if they wish to try and help someone who wouldn't have a chance at anything if they never were adopted, I say let them. I also say Bravo, that they care for the children and not for the image.

There are many reason for adopting children apart from not having none.

These people needs to commended for what they are doing on the cause, it is difficult not knowing the Genes and medical history of the kids but taking and raising them as one of their own. It is really something.

Totally agreed with you that they are many in the country which needs help but there are so many legal issue too and sometimmes socially too if the family is nearby.

In order to avoid all that it is better to go abroad and adopt some whom you can really assist and help, love etc.

Do you know that is its almost impossible to adopt a child in the US. You have interview after interview with agencies, you have social worker after social worker at your house. When they all say ok you'll be great parents you can adopt you are put on a waiting list. If you want a child over the age of 15 ok great you can get one in a few months. You want a child 2-15 wait 3-5 yrs. You want a baby.... humm will put you on a waiting list and maybe... just maybe someday.....

i think that for a baby to be raised in an surroundings and lifestyle it truly is theirs by technique of start is a better physically powerful determination. it truly is ideal for the youngster because as an adoptee i became followed faraway from my living house usa and lifestyle. i'm white and raised by technique of white adoptive mum and dad yet in a distinct usa from my start. If there are better black toddlers accessible to undertake then actual black households searching to undertake don't have any pick to think about white toddlers as an determination. If white toddlers are scarce quite toddlers then actual it follows that white mum and dad do evaluate black toddlers and undertake. For any flow cultural adoption there needs to be expertise. it is only better seen if the couple undertake a distinct color. Statements and outsiders perspectives are what keep the colour question alive and racism to the fore.

sometimes it is a lot less hassle to go outside of their country for legal reasons and the hassle the government gives them when they try to adopt a child in their own country.
