To me Italy didn´t have enough merits, well they won but I think France was more than them. In that match.

Italy are the champions. They played flawlessly throughout the tournament and deserve the title. Everyone always rags on Italy saying that they are lucky or worse but they have shown the world what a great team looks like. If Brasil was the number 1 team in the world then they would've won the cup. They didn't so Italy is number 1 in the world!!

That whole match italy and france were taking dives, that penalty kick was bs that guy barely got touched, if he did at all! That offsides call when Materazzi scored that second goal was crap. So yes italy did deserve the win, that game shouldn't have even gone to pks, it should have been 2-0 italy but the ref sucked!

I was rooting for France, but Italy *did* deserve to win the match. And Zidane did a very stupid thing.
However, I'm not impressed how Italy made it to the final (hint: Australia).

Italy won all their matches over MERIT.
France was given diving penalties in the semis AND the final. But hey! God is fair!

Like I said before, refs made the key calls that favoured the italians since the knockout stage began. Winning the golden ball proves, Zizou is the best and is the greatest and no Pasta will ever get that. Except,..... for diving.
