Yes and Yes. When there are other women around I don't always go in groups. If it's all women together (no men), they may do it for safety reasons. But if you're on a double date or something, that is why they go to the bathroom in groups. To talk about the date or something else they don't want you guys to hear, sorry. I do think that sometimes it can be rude.

Well, the question for me is why not?
We go in there to talk about all things in general, not just you guys. Women's restrooms have heard every topic imaginable on this Earth. While in there gossiping about everything, we fix our hair, clothing, and makup, and ask the other women what they think about this or that.
example: ' Should I put my hair up or leave it down? It looks too frizzy to me.'
Us women are overly-critical of our looks. We need help from our friends to help our over-active minds know that everything is okay.

To gossip (usually about guys), share makeup and perfumes, and just make ourselves gorgeous. You know, some toilets I've been to have 2 loos in the same cubicle, and another had a crazy window that you can open and natter with the person next door, a bit like a confessional but in a loo. Crazy huh?

All of the above, probably!!! It is a lot more fun to sneak off to the bathroom to overanalyze our dates, or to see what our hair is doing. We have to examine and go over EVERY detail of the date so far and figure out how everything is going. It makes for some very interesting sink conversation around the mirror!

it is often female social etiquette. Going to the lavatory together promises a probability to talk in semi-privateness or to only proceed a communique. If there's a line, going together promises business enterprise. We also bypass to the lavatory to analyze our hair or makeup or clothing and it is astounding to be in a position to tutor on your chum and ask the way you look or borrow some thing. And very last yet no longer least, if someone is on her era, she will borrow a tampon or ibuprofen or a midol contained in the lavatory. then back, i actual favor to only bypass and do what I actual ought to in there and go away.

Dude, in the vastness of the universe, one of the strangest mysteries us men cannot figure out is the behavior of the female versions of homo sapiens. This question just adds to the mystery, but a few suggested answers might be: to talk- to help each other get their makeup on- to know where each other are at one time, etc. I hope i have helped you. if i haven't, just know that to that question, there is no definite anwer.
sincerely
a guy like you

This is called "The Buddy System". A lot of times they're saying things like "What do you think about my date?", getting a second opinion or something. Pay attention to how she acts when she gets back to see if you're doing okay or if collectively they've decided the date is already over.

I don't know about all women but when I go to the restroom with someone else it is for safety reasons. In this day and age you can be abducted or assaulted anywhere

I don't know, but I've been told that they go in there to gossip in private without the guys around. Also, women seem to think that it is boring to do things by themselves (Guys are more task oriented, so we tend not to interact with other people at the sink or otherwise linger -- instead we do our business and leave immediately).

I would say we go to the restroom for different reasons. Some go to talk about who they are with, some go to make sure there is toilet paper, and someone to hold the door if it doesn't shut properly. I have always gone with someone for safety reasons.
