My husband took this photograph during our last visit to the doctor. I cannot figure out what it is, but I know it is the baby inside me, is it a head? a leg? or what? Can you give me your professional opinion, moms please?

to me it looks like the head in the middle, the body facing us and looks like arms and hands coming together under head.
thanks so much for sharing this, it made my day.

I can see the baby clearly in the ultrasound, that looks as if it is hovering over the baby, I don't know, But I am going to go look again. I never seen anything like that in my ultra sounds. I looked again, I think it is to big to be a leg or arm and looks to strange to be a head. I see the babies head on the left side of the picture and if you go to your right a little it looks like the baby has it hand in its mouth or its arm toward the face. then if you go even more to the right you can see that the legs are there this thing curves up from the belly toward the top. Could it be the umbilical cord in a weird position?

I am sorry, but this is not a good picture to determine what is what. First off the picture is at an angle and that makes is hard to tell. Second the picture was taken too far away from the monitor. Sorry.

This is definitely the head with an arm underneath it. I have a similar picture of my baby's head at 20 weeks, where it looks kind of like there is a hole in the middle.

if you blow up the picture, you can clearly see a face, right arm and left hand, right leg and left foot under the leg. It's great! I'm not sure what the large object at the top is, but right under that is the face. Congrats and best wishes!

From the looks of the picture it is the head. If you look you can see the eyes, and a leg up against the face. Pretty cool stuff! Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Definantly a shot of the head--on the left of the screen you can see the profile of the face.

I can't see too well in the picture. Didn't you doctor tell you? When I had mine done the technician pointed out significant features on the screen.

It looks like the head and abdomen of the baby? Call your doctor and ask him/her?
