the decoration had paper on it like xmas paper and the ink from the paper got wet and the color came off on to my table cloth.

This is a pity, but now that cotton is becoming more and more into this country we are used to fast colours. your water obviously was to hot, never put anything like that in the washer. wash by hand. Now after the lesson this may work but don't hold your breath. A cup ful of common soda in cold water and leave the cloth to soak for at least 2 days. May do the trick Best of luck when in doubt don't wash the under pants altogether with the cloth. Mysticmo.

Use cheap hair spray... you may have to do this several times before it is completely gone. IF you put it in your dryer, you might as well put it in the trash, a dryer will permanently set the stain.

try Tide with bleach alternative if it is machine washable. you can rub some directly on the stain before you put it in the washer, then wash as uaual.

is it machine washable? if so, try oxy clean
