There are many ways to react. If you are speaking of a football match and not a crowded street in rush-our, I've seen every chances happen but crying.
About Zidane:
A) 75% - hundreds time in his career
B) Only yesterday. Really unusual.
C) Unusual as point B). Seen in Hamburger SV - Juventus 3-1, Champions League, 24 October 2000.
D) 15%
E) 10% - need to change "run" in "walk"
F) As above, never seen.
I can't guess what's the right way, however. I play football with friends in public parks, often out of the city, in non-organized match. Often we are few players (it could be from 8-9 to 5), if opponent is able to give us the required number the match happens. Of course, there is a great friendly attitude, so bad speaking never occurs between opponent, only by the same team players... If insult would happen, I think a fight could coming, so all men keep their head...

I'd say insult back. If you can't think of anything acrid enough immediately, a headbutt to the head send the message across just as well! ha ha ha

Have to bear in mind your next action when you have the following in check:
1. the whole world is watching your every move via TV,Stadium & Net 2. You Have the Ref Standing nearby. 3. Your opponent's mate would report you to the Ref.
So the best answer would be (A) Ignore him. The opponents are as tired and stressed as you are so they will said something stupid. You would too, but you're too smart to say it out loud.

faith/lifestyle does not factor in very a lot in fact. maximum human beings do in comparison to insults. they seem to be a fact of life, yet no longer likely mandatory. Why insult interior the 1st place?Insults are the weakest form of bullying. Why be a bully? Is bullying area of your lifestyle? Why? "Muslims do no longer insult others and anticipate others no longer insult them. individuals are used to insult and employing vulgar language yet Muslims are actually not. individuals on no account study lifestyle of others and anticipate international to settle for his or her's. it is the reason they are hated international huge." ....Do you think of that this individual realizes that they are in fact being stereotypical and insulting in direction of yet another team? Do you think of they are even conscious what proportion Muslims are American? Insults spring from such lack of expertise blended with conceitedness. So what if somebody is distinctive - why is your instinct to insult as a reaction to this difference? That is going for each lifestyle and faith. actual everyone seems to be persons - it quite is somewhat elementary - do no longer insult and don't stereotype. problem solved.

Give him a thanks for identifying the problem and also praise him for some vague reason.
(when some one gets an opportunity to insult you - its you who is responsible - you certainly had left some loose ends in your work. One insult teaches us of our fault and gives opportunity to improve.)
Well the above is the answer for day to day life. In football it should be different. What Zidane has done - he is 100% correct. Tit for (2 X Tat).

I wouldn't quite say "ignore" -- but respond coldly. Possibly a "How DARE you?!" or some such. Or simply a glare, and THEN pretend they never spoke.
The idea is to make them feel like doo-doo -- being rude in return is a less effective way of accomplishing this than keeping one's own manners. See the works of Miss Manners.

to show that you are the bigger person you are supposed to ignore it, but sometimes depending on the attitude of the person and depending in what mood they are in you might get a reaction that you would never expect from them. There is only so much a person can take

A is the answer.
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
I learned that in pre-school.
