Those weeks before you actually feel the baby move can be torture. Not knowing anything just that its there. I started feeling movement around 19 weeks. It's different for all women, my sister in law is 20 weeks and she hasn't felt anything yet. If your really worried and it's bothering you ask your dr to do a quick sonogram just to ease your mind, besides if your interested you should be able to find out if it's a boy or a girl. I found out at 16 weeks. So ask your dr if its really worrying you. You know stress isn't good when your preggers

Everyone is different. Usually your first time around it takes a bit longer to feel movement. It also depends on your size, your more likely to feel the baby if you were smaller to begin with. If your very active you may not feel the baby right away either, the days that I am really busy and don't really sit for a moment to breath, I don't really feel my baby move. Ask your doctor, but I think they say it is normal if you do not feel anything up to 24 weeks. Don't worry though, you will.

I am 18 weeks along too, and I have yet to feel anything. This is my second pregnancy and I just had an ultrasound last week. The tech said everything is normal and I should be feeling something soon.

some women feel movement as early as 18weeks and others are in around the 20th. Especially if this is your first pregnancy you may have felt the fluttering and not no that was your baby wiggling inside

Yes, it can be normal not to feel the baby, sometimes your weight, or the babys position can effect it...if you want to try and feel the baby, eat some sort of sugary snack, then lay down for a few min. and see if you can't feel him/her. And if you truely think it is something to worry about call your doctor.

yes cause they baby is still in development and you shouldn't feel much movement until about four and half five months, then if no movement then try to shake the belly, drink fluids with sugar or go to the doctor

You should feel something soon. Think I was a little further along before I felt anything.

i did not feel my little one moving around for the longest time, I did not know exactly what I was suppose to be feeling, ya know. She could have been moving around and I just did not realize she was doing so. However, you will most certainly feel it when they get bigger....man
