Don't get in a panic, the world changes all the time - look at all the mass extinction of the dinosaurs that allowed our distant ancestors space to evolve into us!
The media love speculation and prediction of doom and disaster now - I don't suppose you remember when the news used to be about what had already happened? The future has not happened yet, don't let them paint it black for you.
